This is the one. But it takes a bit of an effort to do it just right. Track tidal charts. You want to time it to visit when the tide is at a negative level. That means the water is below the normal surface level. This exposes the incredible colorful sea life for a brief time for your viewing pleasure. Parking is minimal and you have to hike in about 1 mile. Timing is everything but probably the most memorable experience from our time in the park. Be a pal and don’t disturb the critters. Leave them where they are and look but don’t touch.
Gorgeous lake. Chilly even in August. Had it all to ourselves
The way this brought me to tears. Such a cool tiny museum with movie memorabilia
A must do in the park. Incredible rainforest, banana slugs & a gorgeous waterfall. The kids enjoyed the stop to play in the shallow riverbed.theres always time to stop and skip rocks.
Incredible playground and street food at the base of the space needle. Just what we needed before flying nc home later tonight!
Another gorgeous scenic stop
Lunch and a walk on the pier before boarding the ferry. Museum nearby.

Walking on this trail I felt like a troll could pop out at any moment. Pure magic. Go in the spring for even more lushness
The adversity that this tree has been through over the years, yet remains rooted and thriving. This miracle tree was one I had to see with my own eyes. 10/10. Short walk down a path and stairs from parking to access. Don’t be a jerk. Enjoy the views and leave her alone.
A whale watching tour and nearly missing the ferry in port Townsend. Because I like to live on the edge.
We made it! Obligatory park sign pic
Incredible spot for a sunset. Gorgeous haystacks in the water and massive driftwood to explore.
A great pull off on the scenic drive. For a Punic.
Cullen home - in movie twilight. It’s all fictional of course 😉
Hurricane ridge- Mountain View’s, flushing toilets & snacks. Show me the error.
As the name implies, this was a very hands on museum. We had a great time with both indoor and outdoor exhibits!
