Senior Product Designer, Consumer Experience

Own how Boop looks, feels, and converts, across iOS and web.

The role

Boop turns real trips into bookable experiences, and the product has to do two things at once: feel premium and aspirational, like the trips it sells, and convert like the best commerce apps in the world. As our senior product designer, you own that experience end to end, from the first swipe of inspiration to the moment someone books, and the viral loops that pull their friends in.

You would design the core consumer product across iOS and web, set the visual and motion language that makes Boop feel expensive and alive, and get your hands dirty prototyping AI-native experiences with us. This is a high-craft, high-ownership seat with a direct line to the founder and the whole team.

What you'll own

  • The end-to-end consumer experience across iOS and web: inspiration, personalization, and booking.
  • A premium visual language and design system that makes Boop feel elevated and trustworthy enough to book on.
  • Motion and micro-interactions that make the product feel alive, plus the brand range to flex into marketing and social when we need it.
  • The engagement and conversion design behind our growth loops: how people steal a trip, remix it with AI, book with perks, and bring friends along.
  • Rapid, AI-native prototypes that put working experiences in front of users fast, so we learn and ship quickly.
  • The craft bar for the whole product, in close partnership with the founder, product, and engineering.

What you'll bring

We are looking for equal strength in product thinking and visual craft, with a portfolio that shows both.

  • 5+ years designing consumer products end to end, with a portfolio that shows premium visual craft and shipped product impact.
  • Experience in at least one of consumer social, ecommerce and commerce, or AI-native products, where retention and conversion are the game.
  • A deep feel for consumer psychology and behavioral design: you design for how people decide and form habits.
  • Fluency in motion and micro-interaction design, and enough brand range to double into brand and marketing moments.
  • A prototyping habit, increasingly AI-native (Figma Make, v0, Cursor, Claude, and similar), so your ideas ship rather than just present.
  • Taste. You know the difference between good and expensive, and you hold the line on it.

Bonus signals we'll recognize in a strong candidate

  • Experience with gamification and reward or loyalty mechanics.
  • Comfort in code or near-code prototyping (SwiftUI, React, or web).
  • Illustration, 3D, or video and social content chops.

Nice to have

  • Travel, hospitality, or experiences product design.
  • Design systems built and scaled on a small, fast team.
  • A personal love of travel and experiences, so you are designing for people like you.

You'll know this is you if...

  • You have shipped consumer products people find beautiful, and you sweat both the pixel and the funnel.
  • You think in behavior, not just screens: how people decide, and why they come back.
  • You can make a product look expensive and premium, and still make it dead simple to use.
  • You get why a great game is so hard to put down, and you want to bring that pull to commerce.
  • You prototype your ideas, increasingly with AI tools, and you would rather show than tell.
  • You love travel and experiences, and you have taste for the aspirational.

The offer

  • Meaningful early-stage equity, so you own a slice of what you build.
  • Competitive salary and full medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • An in-person seat in our Kirkland office, where we design and ship shoulder to shoulder.
  • Unlimited PTO, and a team that takes it, usually to travel.
